Cheese bread recipe ingredients

  • 150ml of water
  • 200g of grated mozzarella cheese or another cheese of your choice
  • 150ml whole milk
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt
  • 500g sour cassava starch
  • 150ml of oil

Preparation method

  1. In a bowl, place the tapioca flour and add the salt, mixing well. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the oil, water, and milk and bring to a boil. Once it boils, turn off the heat and pour this mixture over the cassava starch in the bowl, scalding it.
  3. Stir well to incorporate all the liquid into the cassava starch. Let the dough cool for at least 5 minutes.
  4. When cool, add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Then add the grated cheese and mix with a spoon.
  6. Knead the dough with your hands until it is smooth and does not stick to the bowl, but still sticks a little to your hands.
  7. Grease your hands with a little oil, shape small portions of the dough into balls and place them in a large rectangular pan.
  8. You may need to use more than one pan. There is no need to grease them.
  9. If you wish, use the same dough to make tapioca cookies, giving them different shapes, such as sticks or horseshoes.
  10. Repeat the process until you run out of dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy your wonderful cheese bread! Enjoy!
