Recipe: Roasted Salmon with Herbs and Lemon

Introduction

Salmon is one of the most popular fish due to its rich flavor and succulent texture. In this recipe, I will teach you how to prepare baked salmon with herbs and lemon, which is a delicious, healthy and easy option to make.

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (approximately 150g each)
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preparation of Ingredients:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Wash the salmon fillets under running water and dry them with paper towels.
  • Cut a lemon into thin slices and set aside.
  • Squeeze the juice from the other lemon into a bowl and set aside.
  • Finely chop the garlic, parsley and thyme and set aside.
2. Seasoning the Salmon:
  • In a small bowl, combine the reserved lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or greased with olive oil.
  • Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets, making sure they are well coated.
  • Top each fillet with lemon slices.
3. Baking the Salmon:
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and begins to flake easily with a fork.
  • To ensure that the salmon is juicy, do not bake it for too long, as this can dry it out.
4. Finishing and Serving:
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Transfer the salmon fillets to serving plates.
  • If desired, garnish with fresh parsley leaves and additional lemon slices.
  • Serve the baked salmon with your favorite sides, such as rice, grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.

Tips and Suggestions:

  • Herbal Variation: Try using other fresh herbs, such as basil, rosemary or tarragon, to add a different touch to your baked salmon.
  • Extra Marinade: If you want an even more intense flavor, let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour before baking.
  • Temperature Control: To ensure that the salmon does not dry out, check the internal temperature with a cooking thermometer. The salmon is ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 63°C.
  • Side dishes: This baked salmon pairs well with a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes, cooked quinoa, grilled asparagus, or a simple green salad.

With this simple and delicious recipe, you can prepare a baked salmon dish that will impress your family and friends. Enjoy the fresh and healthy flavor of this incredible fish.
