Ingredients for the savory dough recipe
For the dough
- Salt to taste
- 1 kg of cassava cut into cubes
- Water as much as necessary
For the filling
- 1 chopped tomato
- ½ medium onion, chopped
- 300 grams of ground beef (ground beef)
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- ½ cup (tea) of chopped olives
- Salt and black pepper to taste
To bread
- 1 cup (tea) of breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 cup of water
- Oil for frying as much as necessary
Preparation method
From the dough
- Start by cooking the cassava in boiling salted water until it is soft.
- Once cooked, drain well and mash in a bowl until you obtain a homogeneous consistency, adjusting the salt as necessary.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth and uniform.
From the filling
- Sauté the onion and garlic in oil until lightly browned. Add the ground beef and sauté until it is very soft.
- Add tomatoes, seasonings and continue sautéing until flavors blend.
- Finally, add olives and parsley, mix well and remove from heat.
From the assembly
- Assemble the snacks by taking portions of the dough, opening them in the palm of your hand, adding the filling and closing them as desired.
- Repeat until all the dough and filling is used.
- Coat the snacks by dipping them in a mixture of water and cornstarch, and then roll them in breadcrumbs.
