How to make butter cake
To prepare the butter cake, we will use eggs, margarine, sugar, bananas, wheat flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Mash the bananas and set aside. In a bowl, beat eggs, sugar, butter, banana and salt. Add wheat flour and cornstarch, beating well. Incorporate the yeast. Grease a pan, pour half of the batter, add a mixture of sugar and cinnamon, and cover with the remaining batter and more sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C. Unmold and enjoy this delicious butter cake.
Butter Cake Recipe Ingredients
For dough
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of margarine (60g)
- 1 cup of sugar (145g)
- 3 ripe bananas (185g)
- 1 and 1/2 cups of wheat flour (150g)
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch (60g)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of cake yeast (14g)
To sprinkle
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt cinnamon powder
Preparation method
- On a plate, mash the bananas with a fork. Set aside.
- In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar and beat well with a whisk. When the eggs are foamy, add the butter, banana and salt and mix well to combine.
- Add the wheat flour and cornstarch and beat well after each addition.
- Finally add the baking powder and mix gently to combine the dough.
- Grease a ring-shaped pan with butter and sprinkle with wheat flour.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan and sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon on top of the batter, reserving a portion of this mixture to sprinkle on top of the cake.
- Pour the rest of the dough and finish with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Bake the buttered cake in a preheated oven at 180° for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, unmold while it is still warm and serve this sensational buttery banana and cinnamon cake.
